Friends of Ludham School

Chair: James Lacey.

Secretary: Jamie Owens.

Treasurer: Emily Paterson.

Grants officer: Claire Smith

The current committee of the Friends of Ludham School (FOLS) have been in post since February 2024 and have recently rebranded from the historic PTA committee.

The main objective of FOLS is to provide funds for the school to maximise the opportunities for the school and pupils. We subsidise most of the year group trips, alongside buying much needed supplies for the school. Some of the recent purchases for the school include new play equipment and books for the school library.

We are currently looking to improve our outdoor Forest School learning environment, which will see the provision of a covered classroom for the children to enjoy Forest School which will be accessible and suitable all year round.

Some of the exciting events that we are planning include Easter, Summer and Christmas Fayres, bingo nights and many more! We will also be securing our charity status in the coming year, which will open up more opportunities for us to benefit from having an official charity status.

FOLS has an ambition to provide financial support for families of students at the school who are from lower-income households and further details of this support package will be made available throughout the year.

The support of the wider community in Ludham will continue to allow us to provide a rich learning environment for the children, alongside extra funds for the school to expand its additional curricular activities.

We are seeking new supporters and encourage members of the community to join us. You will receive a warm welcome at our committee meetings, which take place once a term on a Friday night at 7pm. For any fundraising ideas or enquiries, please contact James Lacey by email at ludhampta@gmail.com
